synopsis

It’s 1995. Mahir, a 38-year-old Bosnian refugee with a shadowy past, resides in Hotel Pula—a former hotel turned refugee shelter. His days are marked by routine and silence, his history kept tightly sealed. That is, until Una, a spirited young woman from Pula enters his life. As a tender, almost utopian love story begins to unfold between them, the past that Mahir has tried to outrun begins to surface, threatening the fragile hope they’ve found in each other.
